Angelica is a second-generation indigenous Nasa coffee farmer from the Togoima reservation. She has been farming for over 60 years, growing caturra and bourbon varietals on her farm near a bamboo forest. Angelica grows other crops along with her coffee, like avocados and bananas. Her coffee trees are also some of the oldest that we know. Some are more than 40 years old.
Her Story
Back in 2018, Angelica was living in quite a precarious condition because her children left her, and as an elderly woman, she was not able to build a new home. With the help of several kind souls, we were able to raise enough funds to build her a new basic home. She now lives in this house and continues to produce amazing coffee.
